The Erik Jonsson School of Engineering & Computer Science (the Jonsson School) at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) is strategically located in the second largest high-tech economy in the US. UTD actively maintains a synergy with local industry and has developed partnerships with high-tech companies to provide employment opportunities and co-op programs for UTD students. More than 45 full-time faculty members carrying out teaching and research in seven concentration areas: Biomedical Applications of Electrical Engineering; Optical Devices, Materials and Systems; Circuits and Systems; RF and Microwave Engineering; Communications and Signal Processing; and Solid State Devices and Micro Systems Fabrication.
